my son

my son is nearly 5 due to start primary 1 and i am still having problems with him, he started walking at 2 and a half, started talking just after his 3rd birthday, he has always fallen over and gave himself a sore face, i know this is sometimes normal for kids but this is ongoing he has started to forget things and getting confused about mealtimes, he cant write his own name or draw a smiley face, he seems to have a bad attitude and lashes out repeatidly when corrected, he still plays in the bathroom squirting toiletries in bath/toilet & sink, stuffing things in the toilet, its getting worrying now as my 1 year old daughter acts like this which i know is normal at that age but surely my son should know not to do things like this, i also have another son who just turned 6 and he stopped acting like this at 3 i really need some sort of help

Of course I cannot know the specific options open to you, but it is important to persist and obtain a second opinion.

thanks for your response, his health visitor dianosed him with slow development and he was put into a nursery at the age of 2 due his problems, he attended speech therapy until xmas last year they discharged him as e had no co-ordination to interact with them, his audioloy test were clear also his eye test the doctors at our local G.P wont refer him to pediatrician as they say its normal behaviour for a child his age

Your son is showing signs of developmental problems and this invites evaluation. Ask his pediatrician to set up an evaluation with a developmental pediatrician.
