Chronic hives

bwb
I have had hives for almost three years now. Every antihistimine and stomach pill (that has a histimine blocker) has been tried. The only relief I have gotten was when I went on Cyclosporine for six moths. This is an antirejection drug. I do not want to stay on this, but have been off of it for five months now, and hives are starting to return. Sometimes they are red splotches on my skin, other times they are thick welts, both itch unreal. My eyes, lips and feet swell also. My eyes and lips swell till I look like someone has beat me...Any sugestions???

It has been about 9 months for me now. I get hives every night. They are greatly reduced when I cleanse but come back in full after a month or so. All my vigorous research points to some sort of problem with my intestines or digestive tract. I have no interest in taking allergy meds to cover the symptoms. Further harmful side-effects are sure to accompany that over a long term use, as I have researched them as well.

I recently saw this video at http://geneticroulettemovie.com/
about genetically modified foods. From now on I will only by food from Trader Joe's. Anything with there label is GMO free. Will post any improvements when and if they occur. Any thoughts?

Be sure to check your bedding for bedbugs.   They hide during daylight hours, so have a look at your bedding around 1-3 a.m.   Look under the mattress, too.

Also, hives are somewhat raised like a welt.

Yes, if the red areas are in the same spot for more than 24 hours, then it is probably not hives.

I think you have folliculitis.  Does it cover the outer portions of your arms, legs, and back?  Does it stop at your neck or chin line?   When I had folliculitis, it stopped at my chin line.

When I had the folliculitis, my skin felt like it had cornmeal on it and the rash was only at the bump and it itched like crazy because there were 100's of them.   I couldn't stop rubbing my arms, knees, etc.  I took oatmeal baths everyday and that seemed to help immensely.   Put a cup of oatmeal in a blender and blend until it's a powder.  Put a cup of it in your bath and stir until dissolved.  That is the cheapest way to do it.
