Most pulmonary function numbers indicate good function when they are high and poor or reduced function when they are low or small.  Exceptions include 2 measurements, total lung capacity and residual volume.  The doctor should be able to give you a better indication of your lung function than what you have described.  You should have another pulmonary function test done and interpreted by a lung specialist, before you reach any false conclusions about the state of your lungs.
