Have you had help with Amitriptyline?

My ever changing doctor now wants me to try Amitriptyline for my neuropathy & other chronic pain. I have used 20 mg of Ami. to sleep but never noticed it doing ANYTHING for pain. How about you? (anyone) Thanks

Thank you, see I'm already on an anti-depressant (Klonopin) for anxiety, I sure don't need
another one! I don't have much faith in this doc, he makes some irresponsible moves with my meds. I'm not going to take them and talk to him next visit. Welcome to the Neuropathy group! Your very welcome about the photo's, I love doing it. :)

My husband has this. He was told it was an anti-depressant but was given to him to help him sleep with the shift work, he felt so knocked out on a small dose he was worried about getting to work and stopped taking them! Nicky
