Crohn's flare or other Abdominal issue? Acute Pain!!!

Crohn's for 6 years, no Rx now and minimal flares.

For the past few months, I've had swollen inguinal lymph nodes, thinking that my system was just working on fighting off something.  No fever, so he thought it might be herpes and  put me on acyclovir.  A few days later I came down with the swine flu and all my lymph nodes swelled.  They all went down except for those in my groin which stayed enlarged and sore.  A week later, my fever returned, I experienced alternating diarrhea and constipation, right and left lower abdominal pain, fatigue, joint pain.

Put on Flagyl and Cipro.

A week later, inguinal pain is less, but my lymph nodes still swollen.  My pain on the left side has almost gone.  The right side has increased.  Searing pain upon bowel movement. No fever, right lower abdominal pain, joint pain, burning pain around navel and stomach, cramping back pain.    The pain is unbearable and is aggravated by walking and moving.  Distended abdomen.  I pass little to no gas which is not typical of me.

Saw my GP again.  Had a CT scan, normal as was urinalysis and white blood count.  Can you help?

Liz

Only a CAT Scan and it showed nothing but I had been on antibiotics for more than a week. I also have fibromyaglia so my pain tolerance is rather low.  My pain continued for two weeks. My family doc thinks that it was a herpes flare.  I had bi-lateral pain and vague pain around navel which he says this can happen with some kinds of herpes flares.  I contiunue to have often and on pain, some that is relieved by bowel movements, all after being asytomatic for two years.  I've made a follow-up with my GI doc but it will take months to get in.  What else should I be considering?
