Breast Implant Strange Sensations

I had salene (smooth bag) breast implants put in under the chest muscle in 2004 (through the armpit), Just this year I have started to feel a strange pulling sensation at the bottom of my right implant almost as if when I raise my arm, it feels like the bottom of the implant is adhering to my rib bone.

I have gone to my normal GP and she noticed my right top rib cage bone is quite a bit larger than my left but of course it's always been this way and I have still never felt this before. I have considered the fact that the implant may have settled a bit  more over the past couple of years but the feeling is strange and uncomfortable. They are still symmetrical and  the same size so there is no leakage thankfully but I am still concerned.  The feeling is the worst when I lie down on my back and raise my arms, I feel that pulling feeling.

At first I thought I had a lump and that is why I went to the doctor initially but it was my top rib bone I was feeling, I had this confirmed by getting an ultrasound done on my breast.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

In the absence of change in size and shape or feel of your breasts, it is not likely that your new sensations are worrisome.  However, it would be best to be examined by a local plastic surgeon, preferably the physician who did your original surgery.
