Tattoo question

Hello, not really sure if this applies or not, but I tried to go to the dermatology section and it cost 19 bucks, so here goes. Does anyone know the danger of getting a tattoo on the inside forearm? I know sometimes when I go to the dr. and they take blood they use a vein from that area, and I was concerned about getting one in that area, I just was afraid of a possible infection. Or getting ink in my veins on accident. Any words?

Thanks

I have a tattoo on my forearm I got about 4 years ago and have never had a problem with having blood drawn or anything like that. I think you'll be fine.

Tattoo pigments are placed in the dermis of the skin and may slight extend into the superficial subcutaneous fat.  There is no possible way that they will involve the superfical venous system or limited the ability to draw blood.
