cheek implant problems

I had cheek implants 6 weeks ago and have a couple issues.
1- ectopion in the right eye only. I understand this happens and was told (by doctor) to massage my eyes to work it out. The thing that worries me about it is: It is so stiff under the eye (the lid) and seems to have 2 permanent creases below the eye. I can't even force the lid up with a blunt object, so it leads me to believe it's a permanent problem.
2- when I blow my nose, I try to be gentle, but I am getting swelling under my right eye when I blow too hard. I have learned that placing finger pressure to the left and right side of my nose (in the tear trough area) when I'm blowing my nose, the swelling is not as bad. I think the swelling is really air getting under the skin. What could this be, how can I solve it?  Does the skin and muscle need time to re attach itself firmly on top of the cheek implant?  I'm thinking the skin is loose because of surgery. ??
My doctor asks me, as though I am an anomoly, Why do you do that? how often? etc.  I do it in the shower and use water. I cannot simply stop blowing  my nose......

My surgery was done under general anesthesia. My assymetry is evident only a little bit, but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the lower lid staying "stuck" as a rock. In fact, even when I duct tape the lower lid, I can't pull it any higher than about 1/8 of an inch, whereas in my left eye I can easily with my finger pull it clear over the eye ball to the upper lid. For me I'm 10 weeks post op and I'm getting more bothered. The muscle doesn't even try to move up as the left does.
where did you have your implants done ??

Generally, cheek implants are placed via an incision within the mouth.  It sounds like yours were placed through a lower lid incision.  If a lower lid eyelid lift was performed at the ame time then this might complicate the issue.  Since you are only six weeks post-op, scarring is just starting to resolve.  Hopefully the ectopion will resolve with time.  By ten days post-op, the scar tissue capsule that forms about the implant has developed.  This holds the implant in place.  Air is not getting to the area when you blow you nose.

I have had malar implants for 5 weeks.  I am sorry for your complications and wish I could help, but I haven't experienced that.   I am not entirely happy with mine either, there is some pretty good assymmetry between the two sides and I fear we might have to go in again.  Were yours done under a local or general?
