I have certainly heard of and responded to patients with chronic pain following facelift procedures in this forum. I have personally not had any personal experience with this situation in the many facelifts I have performed over many years in practice. I suspect that many of these cases represent a form of reflex sympathetic dystrophy. This is a complex and difficult problem to treat for which I am not an expert. Seeing a pain management physician or a pain clinic with multiple specialists seems to be the best approach.
what can we do when the discoloration is still present after 3 weeks of surgery under the chin?
thank you for your response...could you recommend a good pain clinic
