Does it sound like I have IBD?

Hello all! I am awaiting to see my GI doc in a few weeks but wanted some insight from the group before I go. My hx is that over the past year, I have had what I consider to be the 'stomach flu' around 4-5 times. I have terrible nausea and diarrhea for a week or so then it slowly passes. It seems to be getting worse and worse, to the point where I had to go to the ER during the most recent incident. Over this span of time, I've lost around 15-20 lbs. My GI doctor recommended I have an EGD and colonoscopy done to r/o any kind of colitis. The biopsies showed mild spotty inflammation throughout my colon and rectum and they removed a polyup. They also found mild chronic gastritis. I am a 28 year old healthy female with no other history. I am active and now slightly underweight. I am a non-smoker and drink very little alcohol. What does this sound like to you?
