I'm so glad that I found your post! A few months ago I was having a fullness, painful feeling down in my pelvic area, well actually my entire vaginal area felt like it was going to explode. I didn't tell my doctor because I was embarrassed but after about a week it went away but came back again. I totally tried to deny that something new was going on! I still haven't told my doctor. Have you? I have crohn's colitis. I know this subject "pelvic area" is a sensitive subject but I'm glad that a few people on here are addressing it. So I'm really interested in seeing what other people have to say about this!
Thanks.........
Hi Deb,
I sporadically get severe shooting pain in my left groin. I have never found out what causes it, but suspect it is referred pain from my arthritic hips. I have found it has lessened since I was prescribed Alendronic Acid (one tablet once a week) - this is a bisphosphotase and is to rebuild bone, which has thinned due to some 30 yrs of steroids. You might ask your gastro for a DEXA bone scan (different to an ordinary bone scan) and see if your bones have thinned. The regular bone scan can determine if you have osteo arthritis and perhaps a bispho med can be prescribed. I am very sceptical about "natural" remedies. Having had Crohn's for 37 yrs and breast cancer for 5 yrs, I prefer to let my doctors control my health.
Best of luck
Liz.
