Work- Crohn's Colitis

Are most people with Crohn's Colitis able to keep a full-time job?

I've suffered from so much fatigue, pain & brain fog & anxiety that I just couldn't keep-up. I only have mild Crohn's Colitis.

Would like to hear from the experts if I will ever get better.

how do you know if you have Crohn's?  my colonoscopy and flex sig were negative.
I have had cramping and bloody diarrhea in my stools since I was about 15 with brain fog and fatigue.  I feel better when I take prednisone but now I have pain in my rectum and hemmarhoids.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, why not! Many people with Crohn's disease work and lead a normal life. The trick is to eat healthy, small portions of food at a time, drink plenty of fluids (not alcohol/wine/beer), and avoid gas causing food items such as milk and milk products, beans, spicy food, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, raw fruit juices and fruits. Take iron/vitamin/mineral supplements. Keep a food diary to note the food items which make you feel good, and those which worsen your symptoms. Needless to say, stick to the former list. Eat more fibers. Be under the treatment of a trained GI doctor and nutrition expert. Take care!
