crohnd problems

hi I am 34 years old , I was resantly diagnosed with crohns 6 months ago , I have been in the hosp 2x and to many to count dr apt for pain . it seems that when I taper down from the prednisone they joint pain, abdominal pain ,and vomiting comes back. I also get tiny little sores on my skin . does any one elsa have this problem

thanks I went to the gi today and he is going to keep me on the pred until I get the aprovel  for the ramicade injections threw my insureance . he also told me I had to get ride of my petsand go for a bone density test

Prednisone is rough.  Ask about low-dose naltrexone.  It has to be mixed in a pharmacy, but it's not expensive -- like $30 or $40 a month.  

Ths skin problems are from malnutrition, so your gut needs to heal.  You can get B12 shots and take magnesium in the morning , vitamin D in the morning, and calcium at night.  L-glutamine and probiotics and time are needed to heal so you can absorb nutrients.  Check for iron deficiency anemia and treat that also.
