crohns disease???

Hi i have been seeing a gastrologist for nearly a year but he cant seem to find anything wrong. I have had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, stool and urine tests, blood tests and  barium xray. My symptoms are weight loss, stomach pains after eating, nausea, diarrheoa, constipation, fatigue, anal fissures, and i have also bleed, loss of appetite and bloating after eating

Can you be diagnosed and show the symptoms of diseases such as crohns and celiac disease whilst in remission? Or can it only be diagnosed during flare ups?

Wow that is strange.   I am glad you are looking further and allergies do cause a lot of symptoms.  Yes, the barium x-ray will show if there is blockage or narrowing of the colon and intestine.  The test I mentioned is just a genetic test,  My symptoms were never normal with chrons and this just verified that I had the gene so we knew exactly what we were working with.

Hope you find the answer soon.

thanks for the response...

i thought that if a colonoscopy didnt show everything, then the barium xray looks at the rest (well thats what my gastrologist said). At the moment I am doing colonic transit study to see if my intestines are working normally or slowly. Since then I have also gone to a allergy specialist. He has diagnosed me with raynold's disease but it isn't linked to the autoimmune diseases that is can be linked to such as lupus and rhumatoid arthritis. He also found out I am allergic to brewers yeast which explains a lot because it bloats me so much to the point I look pregnant. He is now putting me on an elimination diet (once i finish this colonic transit study). Another thing he found strange was that I had high blood pressure on the right side of my body and normal blood pressure on my left side (im a young adult who is far from being overweight, i eat realively healthy too) so it is quite strange i have high blood pressure. I thought i had low blood pressure because i get dizzy spells when i get up quickly.

There is a blood test that can show if you have the chrons gene.  It is expensive so make sure your insurance will pay for it prior to having it done.  Mine was done to make sure that it was chrons.  The insurance didn't pay but it was still worth it, 4 1/2 years ago it cost me about $400 for the test.  My chrons was in the small intestine and because i was 59 or 60 when my chrons flared they were never able to get in the small intestine with a colonoscopy.  Another reason was that the small intestine was in a mass near the illium.  It did show on one test that was barium and then watching it go through the intestine.

Again check with your insurance or have you GI dr since you have had lots of test and nothing is showing what is wrong so they should pay.
