Is it Norquist or the Koch brothers ?
Ah yes, ALEC again! Norquists baby! Again. The guy that nobody takes seriously. Well he just won. He now owns us. Now elect the pubs and seal the deal. Divided and Conquered.
Citizens United as well as SB1070 were thought up by ALEC.

About ALEC
ALEC is corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills. ALEC legislative leaders are tasked with a duty to get the bills introduced and passed; ALEC members introduce the bills in statehouses as their own brilliant ideas—without disclosing that corporations pre-voted on them with politicians behind closed doors at ALEC resort meetings. ALEC boasts that it has over 1,000 of these bills introduced by legislative members every year, and more than 20% become legally binding. ALEC describes itself as a “unique,” “unparalleled” and “unmatched” organization. It might be right. It is as if a state legislature had been reconstituted, yet corporations had pushed the people out the door.
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) describes itself as the largest “membership association of state legislators,” but over 98% of its revenue comes from sources other than legislative dues, primarily from corporations and corporate foundations.[1] After the 2010 congressional midterm elections, ALEC boasted that “among those who won their elections, three of the four former state legislators newly-elected to the U.S. Senate are ALEC Alumni and 27 of the 42 former state legislators newly-elected to the U.S. House are ALEC Alumni.”
I feel even more strongly about this matter than I do about the healthcare reform. I think we the people were taken over today. We no longer have a voice. Even tho corporations may not vote, they can now lend an unlimited amount of money for constant ads and intimidation to those who have less.
Im not sure how that is considered fair or how it will not cause our elections to be bought and paid for.
We are now the United States of Corporations. Who will win? Corporations or lite Corporations.
Hey, you guys -- I can run, and win if I could get a corporation with unlimited funds to back me......
teko - I'd guess you're right; even corporations outside the US.
Being a "middle of the road" conservative, I think this totally stinks. Talk about elections being bought and paid for!!
So. Now anyone with enuff money can decide our elections. All elections. Even corporations from outside the united states I assume.
