Does it change in size throughout the day? Any history of trauma to the area? I'm initially thinking its a mucocele which is a bubble that forms when you bite your lip on accident and sever a salivary gland on the lip. The fluid inside is saliva and tends to stay there and changes shape a little during meals (throughout the day). Still, a biopsy would be best to find out what it is.
Hm. Probably not a mucocele. And they're painless? I was thinking possibly a cold sore but those usually hurt and generally go away in a few days. They can appear on the outside lips area as well as inside but usually not on the soft part of the lip but on the gums instead. Probably a good idea to get a biopsy. It may be just scar tissue from a previous injury
Also I do get alot of spots around the same area on my chin, on the outside of my mouth.
Haven't noticed it changing shape but I have been trying to leave it alone. It was alot bigger initially and appeared overnight. It is barely visible to the eye, just a bit of redness, but I can feel it with my tongue, it is in line with the top of my bottom teeth. Thanks for the fast reply.
