Fast cavity build-up since childhood

I've been having extremely cavity build-up since I can remember. I do my yearly teeth whitening and I brush my teeth with toothpaste, but yet my teeth builds up cavity (blackish color), in different areas of my teeth. They start appearing around 2 months after a teeth whitening. I still remember that back when I was only around 6-7 years old, a baby teeth had a large cavity that made a large indent. Nobody else in my family has this problem. They even spend less time brushing their teeth than I do. So I don't believe this is a genetic problem from my immediate family. As to my extended family, I am unsure if anybody else has this problem.

I talked to my dentist before and he decided to check for bateria. He tested that I had bacteria and that I just brush my teeth more often. His solution doesn't seem very satisfying as brushing my teeth doesn't really help. I've tried extra whitening tooth paste with tartar control. It seems to help for a year or two, but lately it seems like the cavity are resistent to it(although still not as bad as before the toothpaste, I still see apparent cavities).

What might be a good plan to fix this problem. I don't smoke or have any bad habits.

I am also curious to know if saliva content also affects this. My personal guess is that it has to do with saliva, but that is just a personal instinct with no scientic back-up.

Thanks for reading. Please respond to my concerns.

there are things that can cause more decay or plaque build up. drinking more soda, chewing non sugarless gum, our ph balance. i dont know of a coating you can put on your teeth other than maybe using a flouride rinse. if you use a whitening agent other than toothpaste maybe its breaking down your enamel if you use it too frequently. if your dentists only solution is brushing more often and you dont like that answer, seek another. see if that IS all there is for you. some are prone to cavities more than usual. you never said now often you get them. once a year? 3times a year? bushing often, flossing, and using a flouride rinse is your best defense as my suggestion goes not being a dentist. watch your sugar intake and after having sugar such as soda, rinse or brush immediatly.

well I didn't think genetics is much of a problem and my diet isn't really bad. If I'm more prone to cavaties, is there a way to put a coating over my teeth so that cavaties can't penetrate it?

If you are saying that you have alot of cavities then you must look into your diet, genetics, and just that you are more prone to decay. There is  a myriad of different types of bacteria in your mouth. I would suggest you get a fluoride rinse that can be used daily. Flossing is also a very important part of your oral hygiene.
