When is gum grafting appropriate?

When should a person consider gum grafting?  Can it be done when there is low to moderate recession?  Can it restore a gumline back to its original level?  And can the same donor site be used over and over again over the course of years, after it healing, to plump up gum levels around the mouth.

I have considered Gum grafting, as I would not be worried anymore about my gums if I had it!
But as Forum-DDS-JB you can have a talk with your dentist about it, tell me bigquest how much recession have u got?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This is too broad a question to be answered in this forum. There are too many factors that determine when,if gingival grafting is necessary and whether or not it will be successful. A consult with a periodontist is good idea.
