Birth control change your hormonal balance, and can increase depression. My guess it will even out in a week or two, but if not, you should contact your doctor.
I would contact your doctor. I've been on seasonale as well as lexapro(for anxiety and depression) and my depression didn't get worse or better once I started Seasonale
Contact your doctor immediately and let them know what is going on. If you're depression is coming back or getting worse, it's important to get that taken care of as soon as possible. The longer you wait the worse it will get. Of course, you should know that already. Just my two cents (from someone that made the mistake of waiting for help for too long). Besides, what will it hurt if you contact them to let them know what's up?
I would agree! I was on seasonale for a women's disease and I am on lexapro. It definitely worsened my depression and anxiety. I feel for you! But please don't let it go. I did that and ended somewhere I didn't want to go.
Thanks for all your comments!! Just a update in case anybody else has problems out there. I have spoke with my doctor(Psychiatrist) about the returning and worsening of my depression/anxiety since starting the seasonale. It was time for my 3 month appointment. I had been on it almost 3 weeks by the time I saw the Doctor. It seems that my depression had subsided by the appointment but my anxiety has increased. I was having trouble with feeling anxious on all the SSRI's they have prescribed me thus far. My doctor never mentioned Seasonale as being the cause and my guess wasn't concerned about it. He has taking me off Celexa and has put me on Xanax 0.25 mg 3x a day. I still however do not feel like myself and am still concerned about it being from the Seasonale. I have read that Xanax can induce depression. I had to cut my celexa dose in half for three days and then stop it. Today will be the first day without Celexa at all. Hopefully, I won't slip into a depression again. I will keep you updated!!
