TO HELP U UNDERSTAND A LITTLE ABOUT ME, MY MOODS CHANGE RAPIDLY, I SELF MUTILATE, I ALWAYS EXPECT THE WORST, I BLAME ALL THE PROBLEMS ON SOMETHING I'VE DONE WRONG, I HAVE TO HAVE A MAN IN MY LIFE BUT WHENI GET ONE I EXPECT IT TO GO WRONG, I CAN'T STAY FOCUSED. THATS JUST A LITLLE TO GO ON IVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH HALLUCINATIONSMOSTLY VERBAL. CAN U PLEASE GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHATS GOING ON . THIS HAS BEN A LONG BATTLE THAT I CAN'T SEEM TO WIN.

The diagnosis is helpful in regard to proper medication so you and your doctor will have to work on that aspect...but what you are struggling with that should be addressed in psychotherapy is a very harsh internal critic and a strong sense of being undeserving. These organizing themes can be changed with good psychotherapy.

Hi

I expect making a psychiatric diagnosis could be extremely difficult.  I think a lot of the diagnoses you mention overlap.

What feels right to you?  What do you feel are your main symptoms (or the ones that cause the most distress/ dysfunction in your life)?

I have learned over the years that I have placed too much significance on psychiatric diagnoses.  I think investing too much energy on a diagnosis can distract from positively moving forward.

Having said that, I believe you need to establish some clarity before moving forward.  Are you able to ask your doctor about your working diagnosis?

I feel a little intimidated posting responses here in the experts forum.
I hope this was of some use though.
