I want to stop taking amitryptyline

Hello. The thing is, my doctor thinks I have depression but I don't think so, I told him I'm not a sad type of person but he argued that sadness isn't a necessary symtom of depression. I still don't think depression is my problem, but I took what he recommended, I took 20mg/day of fluoxetine for 20 days, then he changed it to amitryptyline because he found out I had low prolactin (he said it would help with that), wich I've consumed the last 8 days (25mg/day the first 6 days, 50/day the last two) but I'm seriously thinking about leaving it because I read that this type of medication has a high porcentage of causing last longing sexual problems, plus, as I said, I don't even think I've depression, and I haven't had any noticeable response by any of the medications.

I have a couple questions about this:

1. I haven't noted any sexual negative response, does that mean I'm immune to that side effects or I still may get them?
2. Is there any way to determinate if I'm depressive or not appart from taking meds for weeks?
3. By now, can I just stop taking amitryptyline?

I do have a problem, but don't know what it is. I'm 20, by the way.

That's all, thanks in advance, and sorry for the bad english.

I don't think you should be taking medication for an illness you are  not convinced you have...one way to settle that and find out what is bothering you is to go to a psychiatrist and ask for an evaluation, and  let him also help you get off of the medication, its a little tricky and best done under supervision. No, that does not mean you are immune...this side effect can happen later.

I don't have access to my psychiatrist until monday, and I have decided that don't want to keep taking the meds. I know it's dangerous to stop suddenly, that's why I took a 25mg today, so far it's been like this:

Day 1 to 6: 1 pill (25mg)
Day 7 and 8: 2 pills (50mg)
Day 9 (today): 1 pill (25mg)

Would it be safe to not swallow a pill tomorrow?
