Question on bipolar medications

I am on Gabapentin as a mood stablizer and have been for approx 3 months.  My doctors and I chose this medication because of the benefits of pain control for my FMS as well as BPD.  I also was on Lexapro for the last 4 weeks and was taken off this med yesterday due to side effects and was started on Lamictal.  My question is this......these are both mood stablizers, correct?  From the reading I've done and what others have said on a different forum, the best treatment for bipolar is a mood stablizer and an antidepressant.  I am currently not on an antidepressant.  Is this something I should discuss with my pdoc?
Thank you!

although using both types of medications is generally indicated, it does not mean that is so in each case. These two might be the right combination for you, but it is certainly something you should be able to talk to your doctor about and ask him or her why this combination was chosen.....

I have been on 100mg of wellbutrin for the past 4 years for depression and anxiety.  I would like to try to get off.  Since this is a low dose what suggestions do you have to get off without side effects? Taper how. (buproprion hcl sr) Lately, I feel like it has lost its effect and take .5 mg of clonopin as needed for anxiety.

Has this dose of 100mg done anything for such a long period?  I have had only one episode of depression when I lost a friend.

I was too scared to get off of it because I never wanted to feel that way again. I never was depressed as a teen,20's, this started when I got divorced and was overworked.
