Several years back I noticed a mole that I had had for years changed in shape and color. It was initially brown then turned black and started to grow. I went in to see my dermatologist and found through a biopsy a severe atypical mole in the cleavage of my breast. The biopsy came back and there was still evidence of atypical cells still in the edges of the primary biopsy. So we went from a dime size to a silver dollar size excise. It took care of it. Now I have another very small (about the size of a sesame seed )size mole pop about 4 months ago. This one is a dark dark mole but is imbedded. I picked at it till I got the top partially removed and as I lifted it with tweezers it had a quarter of an inch root that came out with it. It has left a small crevasse, but not really any bleeding to speak of. My concern is it was so close to the first mole. Maybe a half an inch away. It was the same color as well. Do moles normally have tails or roots? I have saved it in a tissue, do you think I should turn it in to my Dr? On another note, I also noticed about a year ago that I had a small raised spot on my face that just would not go away. I first thought it was a pimple, which is unusual for me, but it wouldn't pop like one. But as I started paying attention to it I noticed that several months went by but it did not go away. The top is hard, but if I scratch the top off it is softer but it still will not go away. Now it is about 16 months now since I noticed it. I have had a wart on my hand when I was younger and it does not look like a wart. It has maintained its size and has not grown smaller or bigger. If I leave it alone for several weeks it gets a hard crust on it. I don't know if I should have it checked since there is no discoloration to it. The top layer will just come off as I cleanse my face. It is just a pest that won't go away. Thank you Kimmy
