Not an std so what is it???

So last month I developed a little red bump on the head of my penis that looked like it deflated and ended up turning into an open sore there was no puss, no blood. Worried I went to the doctor they said oh its gonnorea they made me drink some liquid and injected me with penacylin. It looked like it worked went away after a week. A month later now it came back but bigger like it spread a bit. I went back and this time he said oh maybe it's syphilis and I was like how if I haven't had sex sense the last time I came to get treated. He gave me that face and said you should really start wearing protection. We will run you for test. I asked to get checked for everything and I did. I called in and they said all the test are all negative and they don't know what's on my penis. I know I'm not rubbing it raw while masturbating. I really have no idea what it can be but it's really worrying me.

It could be something akin to Athletes foot, a fungus. Not really an open sore, but red areas, treated with Clotrimazole twice a day it went away after awhile. Because there was initially a bump the Dr. thought it might be genital warts, I was told to ask my girlfriend if she had ever had an irregular Pap Smear, a common sign of gw for women.
