Blister like Bump on lip

I have a blister like bump on my lower lip, right in the centre. It is not weeping or *****, or painful. It is just annoying, as I can feel it there and it is visible when holding my mouth in a relaxed position. I can't pop it by squeezing it.

I have only ever had the one partner (my husband) and likewise.

Does anyone know what it could be?

It is either a simple pimple or it is herpes.  You'll know if it heals within 2-3 days, or 14!

Hi,

This could be acne/ pimples or an allergic reaction to some unknown substance. Do not pick at the lesions as this would cause secondary bacterial infection.

This could also be cold sores, apthous ulcers, mucoceles, fungal infection or cheilitis.

Have you noticed any other associated symptoms?

You could take some oral antihistamine or anti-allergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine. Take syrup benadryl and see if it helps with your symptoms.

Are you allergic to any specific substances? Apply a medicated lip balm with sun screen.

Drink plenty of water, eat a healthy balanced diet and replace any deficient vitamins, and consult your skin specialist if the lesions persist.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Keep us posted.

Regards.
