big red purplish welt

my baby is 3 months and she has what i think to be a broken blood vessel under her eye, it is red and kind of purple and is growing. is this normal?

Nothing else? Like what do I do? Or what can this be? Should I have her checked?
This is a 3 month old baby, we are talking here.

Hello,
Two possibilities are coming to my mind. First possibility is of ecchymosis which is a subcutaneous hematoma larger than 1cm. second possibility is of a hemangioma. It is a benign tumor of of blood vessels in the skin or internal organs. Mostly present at birth but may present in infancy also. My sincere advice would be to consult a pediatrician and get a physical examination done as without examination, precise diagnosis cannot be made.
