Burning/itching/red skin around nose and in eyebrows

Hi, back in the fall I started getting red burning and itchy skin around my nose and in my eyebrows and between my nose and upper lip. First I tried to use a moisturizer, but this did not do anything. Next, since I was at college, I had my mom talk to my dermatologist and my dermatologist said to use Hydrocortisone cream 1%. I used this, and it worked very effectively, but what I did not know was that it was bad to use this over a large period of time. I continued to use it all through the winter up until about late april to early may. When I finally got to my dermatologist, she diagnosed me with seborrheic dermatitis, and prescribed me ketoconazole cream 2% and Alclometasone dipropionate cream .05%. She instructed me to use the second cream only for 1-2 days and then use the ketoconazole to keep it from coming back. This has proved extremely ineffective. Ill use the alclometasone for 1-2 days and my skin will go back to normal, and then within a week it will come right back. I have no idea what I have and I was wondering if I possibly have steroid induced roasacea, caused by the excessive use of hydrocortisone cream for about 4 months straight. I believe it may be steroid rosacea because the only time my skin will go back to normal is when I use a steroid cream, and then within a week it will go back to being red, burning, and itching. If anyone could offer any insight, or advice, and how I can possibly treat this. Just to let you know I use no soap on my face and don't take hot showers. And as of today I am stopping all use of medications on my face until I can get further information on what i might have. Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to perioral and periocular dermatitis or eczema. Perioral dermatitis is a chronic papulopustular and eczematous facial dermatitis. Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.

If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics, then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult your dermatologist and discuss this with him.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi my daughter has same symptoms as yourself. I have been doing research online to see what is wrong with her skin. I think sher may have Perioral Dermatitis. I have been to doctor 3 times and been prescribed 3 different types of creams. I have also sent a photograph to an online dermatologist and awaiting confirmation of what is wrong. There are images shown for perioral dermatitis, have a look at them online to see if they look anything like your skin problem.
The first time we visited the doctor they thought it may have been Impetigo.
2nd time, a different doctor thought it may have been Roseacea.
3rd visit to the doctor, i told them what i thought it may have been, the doctor looked into the skin disorder i mentioned, had a look at my daughters face and images of perioral dermatitis. She has been prescribed Rosex , we are waiting to see if it improves in the next couple of weeks.

Can anyone please offer any advice, I also haven't drank caffeine or alcohol in quite some time, so they aren't causing this either.
