Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
Well I've got a question. I've noticed this growth on my bottom toe, between the joints, and have ignored it for nearly a year, possibly. I really did not think anything of it, until about a month ago and noticed a black spot in the center of it. After which I let it go for another week and finally purchased Dr Scholls corn remover then a larger callus/corn remover and salicylic acid, purchased from Walmart.
The first week I applied the small corn remover for about a week and seen no real improvements. Just that the skin was starting to dry up a little. I then jumped up to the larger diameter callus remover, eventually running out of pads since there are only 4 available in that package, then I started to apply the salicylic acid and then covered it with one of the felt pads from the callus remover kit. I've applied salicylic acid about 4 time now.
Today I just cleaned it. I used normal rubbing alcohol since it was starting to become a bit irritable walking. If I apply pressure around the sides it's ok, no bother. However, if I apply pressure in the center of the infection I feel a sharp pain. I'd really have to apply a large amount of pressure before I start yelling, otherwise it's just like sticking a needle in your toe. Before all this I felt no discomfort, just the annoyance of taking off my socks and noticing it.
So now, I've got this hole in the center and a dark spot, possibly dry blood. The rest of it seems very tender and is white. I've also posted links to some photos I've taken.
