Hello,
Before using coal tar shampoo it is best to discuss it in detail with a dermatologist. Coal Tar Shampoo may stain hair, skin, and clothing. Apart from this, itching, burning, tenderness, or redness; sensitivity to sunlight are the frequent side effects. It can even cause severe allergic reaction in some.

As long as you have no allergies for coal tar it is safe to use. Use as directed though.
