rosacea on the glans penis

I am a 44 year old, heterosexual, monogamous, married man. I have recently noticed a bright red, shinny patch developing in a small section approxiamtely 3/4" long on the top of my glans. The reddish discoloration is at the back of the glans where the glans meets the prepuce. I am circumcised and hygienically clean (showering daily with a variety of body washes and soaps). I have no discharge, no lesions or sores, no itching, no burning. It isn't spotty nor is it a swollen bump or pimple type infection. It is not sensitive to touch.
I am a faithful husband, yet I am scared my wife will freak when she sees it. I travel for a living (the reason for using various soaps and body washes normally supplied in hotels).
Is this some type of rosacea? I talked to a pharmacist and he recommended I try 1% hydro cortisone cream. I used it for a week and there was no difference. I also tried Tinactin to see if it were jock itch. It is not and had no affect on the redness.
I have attached a photo (non-sexual) to aid in determining what this is.
Any valid medical opinion is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I think i have the same problem. Have a really bright red area near foreskin and it ends with a right line on one side of the glans. I found it becomes more red after masturbation. My dermatologist says it's seborrheic psoriasis but honestly psoriasis looks kind different (maybe a light form). This has been due to a candida i had (i ve not trust dermatologist again). Honestly my brain says another thing: this kind of problem comes with high stress level or some kind of  intestine infection (or dismicrobism). Check also for rosacea by Helicobacter. Pylori or food intolerance tests.

Hi there - I have something which looks very very similar, I wondered whether yours all cleared up or what you may have had to do / treatment etc. to improve the condition?

Many thanks.

Thank you for sharing. I have looked everywhere for something similar to what I have. Your picture and description matches what I have exactly. For me I noticed that I get more of it after periods of masturbation. I refrained for 1 1/2 months and it almost went away but it never completely disappears. My doctor was never able to figure it out and I'm clean of all std tests.

Have you discovered what it is? what its called? or some treatment to make it go away? Thank you very much and I'm eager to here a response. Thanks!

The Picture is not that clear; however, it looks like I have a similar condition on my glans. I am currently using the same 1% hydrocortisone cream and would wait for few more days before the doctor can determine what it is.

I am not worried about it as the symptoms are exactly as the ones you are mentioning on your post and the doctor mentioned that it does not look like it is any of the STDs.

Regards,
