Hi,
Hyperhidrosis (over sweating) could have serious underlying causes that may require surgery or antibiotics in severe cases. Only your health care provider can diagnose these types of issues.
If your doctor should deem your sweating is abnormal, ask him/her about Drysol. Drysol is aluminum chloride hexahydrate and when applied to the underarms works to block the sweat glands and plug the pores. It is a prescription medication and should only be used with a doctor's guidance.
Your doctor may suggest an in office surgical or laser treatment.
Check your local drug store or grocery store for an antiperspirant/deodorant. Try wearing a plain, white, 100% cotton t-shirt underneath your normal shirts. Try anti-bacterial soaps to kill additional bacteria while you shower.
It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for the symptoms and a proper clinical examination.
Let us know if you need any other information and post us on how you are doing.
Regards.
I too suffer from this and it only pertains to my face. I am so tired of the jokes about being "hormonal" etc. There is nothing that can stop this! I could walk around buck naked in a snow storm and still have a sweaty face! Sorry for the visual. This isn't a hot flash or a bad case of the nerves, its very real and causes a great deal of embarassment. I will try anything, but I fear there is an underlying medical problem that I should be listening to. Does anyone know of any condition that would cause excessive sweating, of the face and head only?
Thank you in advance for any help!
