Hard lump

Happy Holidays,

I have a pretty large very hard lump on my anus, just peeking out somewhat and then extends inward into the anus.  It is not at all painfull and is not bleeding.  I have had hemriods before, on rare occasions, and this is nothing like those.  My hemriods were very painful, itchy burning and I would use cream and they would go away within a day.  This lump is very hard and stationary, again, not painful at all.  When I sit I feel it there but not painful.  I tried to use anusol cream to see if it would recede but it is still there, it has been there for about 3 weeks now.  Any suggestions?  I have no healthcare and the free clinics are not free.  Also, I have a brand new lesion on the left side of my calf that came out of nowhere, it is small and it had what looked like boils around it but they went away because I shaved my legs.  I now shave around it to see if it indurates again.  It has been there now about 3 months, it has a small speck of black in it and then brown and pinkish, there was no mole there before, as I said it came from nowhere overnight.  If you draw a line from that lesion to the front of my shin there is another lesion that I had for about 3 years but only just started to spread.  It is brownish in color and sometimes is very dry on top, it started to spread around the time the other lesion appeared.  Sorry to bother you so much, just wondering if you have any suggestions on what the anal lump and those two lesions could be.  I am sending images of the two lesions, though, not very well seen as in person.

Most Sincerely,
Christin

Thank you so much for responding.

No Dr., there's absolutly no pain, bleeding, itching, ect.  I don't even know it's there until I sit and can only feel a lump there, but not painful.  It's definatley not a skin tag.  It's very, very hard and stationary, I can't move it.  It sticks out partially from the rectum then goes up into the spincter wall.  I have gone to the bathroom with no problem, no bleedi ng, burning, even when I wipe myself there's no pain.  I'v had hemorroids before, rarely, and those were severly painfull and itchy, ect., this is completely different, that's what's so weird about it.
Thank you,
Christin

Hi,

This could be an anal skin tag secondary to anal fissures, hemorrhoids, warts due to human papillloma virus, moles, or in rare cases due to rectal cancer.

'An anal fissure is an unnatural crack or tear in the anus skin. As a fissure, these tiny tears may show as bright red rectal bleeding and cause severe periodic pain after defecation.'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_fissure

and

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/anal-fissure/DS00762

'Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus that results when a blood clot forms. This condition is known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

In addition, excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may cause irritation with bleeding and/or itching, which may produce a vicious cycle of symptoms. Draining mucus may also cause itching.'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemorrhoid

It would be best to consult a surgeon for your symptoms to find out the cause of your complaints.

Till then you could try eating a high-fiber diet, using stool softener, taking pain killer and having a sitz bath for your symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site, keep the area clean and well moisturized, wear lose, comfortable clothes and maintain good personal hygiene.

Let us know if you need any other information. Post us about how you are doing.

Regards.
