I need some advice for my spongy dermatitis

I went to the dermatologist a while ago, and they diagnosed my issue as spongy (I guess spongiotic?) dermatitis. I have it on my underarms, although they look slightly different for both underarms. The left side looks like typical eczema. Red, scaly, patchy, and very itchy. My right side is a little harder to describe. When I first started getting it I thought it was ringworm. But the doctor's biopsy found no fungus. It never responded to any fungal medications anyway. It usually starts out as a single red dot, and it eventually turns into multiple dots covering my armpit. When They are still red, the dots are smooth. Eventually the skin in the red dot starts to clear from the inside to the outside, but the dot sometimes gets larger in size until it disappears. I'd take pictures but I'm currently at work. When the  start getting larger, the skin on it peels little by little. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

I was given some prescription strength cream to fight the dermatitis but I can't remember the name right now. It helped for the side with the dots but not so much the left side with the eczema. I've been using Blue Star Ointment for the eczema, which still stings and burns like crazy when applied. However, it does miracles for the itching. I've changed soaps and laundry detergent. Soap is the Dove Sensitive Skin brand that my derm. recommended, and the detergent is the Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin brand. With these changes, the dermatitis keeps coming back, so I feel like it has to been something I keep coming into contact with since its right where the armpit is which causes a lot of friction with fabrics. As of 3 days ago, I've stopped wearing anything on my torso that is not 100% cotton. Bed sheets and wardrobe have been adjusted. I've noticed that the eczema side has been significantly less itchy ever since.

However, I have an issue with the wardrobe. My work shirt is a security uniform (button up with a tie), and it is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. I wear this shirt 40 hours per week, so this may definitely contribute to my issue. Would wearing a cotton undershirt help? I'm wearing one right now but I can't help but think it's not enough.

Side not: Also fighting jock itch at the moment in the groin and elbow creases, and I heard people with dermatitis issues are more vulnerable to jock itch as well. Is this true? Also have seb. dermatitis in nose creases but that is pretty easy to keep at bay.

If anyone can offer advice, it would be really appreciated!
