I need some help with this problem!

A few weeks ago, I had a fever, muscle pain and a sore throat. Then all of a sudden, all my symptoms stoped and red raised bumps formed on my fingers and on the bottom of me feet. My mom also had been sick but not as bad as me and she only had a few. These bumps were itchy when they were forming but then they just started to hurt! I had like 30-something on my hands alone and I had lots on my feet too. They were mostly on my pointer and middle fingers. After about a week, I noticed that the were turning brown and going away. Then I started to get ehit skin bubbles forming where the red dots had been. They didn't contain any liquid or pus but they just peeled. They didn't even hurt but on my left middle finger, its almost like I don't have a fingerprint! Please help! I really want to solve this mystery so I get on with my life...:(

From the symptoms it looks like hands, foot and mouth disease. Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a human syndrome caused by intestinal viruses of the Picornaviridae family. It is extremely uncommon in adults; however, still a possibility.

Without external examination, diagnosis is tough. So please consult a dermatologist and get yourself properly evaluated.

Full blown HFMD is rare in adults and the presentation of disease with all features is unlikely.

Since we live in a major metropolitan area, I'm sure there is however there were no accompanying sores in our mouths. My understanding was that for foot and mouth disease, both needed to be present. Our sore throats were simply red (like with allergy post nasal drip) - there were no sores there either. We're stumped!
