From what you have said I wouldn't say it's rosacea.
"It may be rosacea" sound so unprofessional even if I had money I wouldn't buy it. You can't guess when it comes to chemicals because you can develop something else or make it worse. Don't put on you face anything for "just to try" they made a business out of it.
My advise is to stay away from chemical creams and gels as much as you can. And big price doesn't mean the better product. Avoid everything what cause redness and stress can be one of the reasons too.
And drink a lot of water.
Thank you for your response. To me it does not look like blood vessels and it doesn't look exactly like any rosecea picture I've seen. It does, however, feel scaly where the rash is on the sides of my face and forehead. Its just so frustrating. I did see a derm. a couple years ago when I first started getting the rash but it was so hard to see back then he told me "it may be rosecea" and gave me a prescription. I was unemployed at the time and when I went to the pharmacy the prescription cost was $250 so I didn't get it filled. Now that its so close to summer getting a derm. appt will be impossible. I once thought it may be an alergic reaction to the skim milk I drink so I stopped drinking it..for about two weeks the symptoms were getting better but then they came back so I am assuming it wasn't the soy milk..so I started drinking it again. Maybe I will stop again and see if it clears up again. Maybe I didn't give it long enough! Mean time I will see if I can find a derm to see me!
Symptoms can be so similar and confusing. Ones I thought I had rosacea but after checking with a doctor it was dermatitis. So it may be an allergy too. Rosacea usually appears on side checks close to nose and affects the nose as far as I know and goes with bumps like acne and small blood vessels. That's typical for rosacea so if you don't have blood vessels it could be some kind of allergy or contact dermatitis. Be careful what you put on your face, and visit the doctor to get your diagnose. Even if it's rosacea it's better to know, rosacea have stages and earlier you start with treating it the better.
Best wishes.
