random itchy bumps and redness

out of no where bumps form on my arms and legs. I couldn't resist scratching my legs a little and the bumps turned into big bruises . i feel a constant discomfort, but out of no where they will itch so bad i want to cry.  cold compress seems to help a little.  these bumps formed a few days ago and i woke up this morning with a red blotchy spot on my neck with no bumps.  it kind of feels like a sun burn but it isn't sun burn. also the wedge area between my pointer and middle finger has irritating bumps that showed up today which itch like crazy.

please help! what is this?! it happens every 3-4 months out of no where. nothing has changed with my diet or exposure to new things.

Thank you in advance!

It could be something like hives (those can be caused by a number of things- even stress), or it could be a number of other conditions.  Your best bet to get to the bottom of the issue is to get into your doctor and have them take a look- they will need to gather more medical information and history from you and do an in person exam of the spots.
