ITCHY PALM!!!

My right palm has been itching me for a few days now and it's driving me crazy. I went to the dermatologist and she says it doesn't look like anything and just prescribed me a powerful version of cortizone. This didn't help subside the itching, I feel like its internal. Theres no bumps or blisters visible but I see what looks like small flat white spots where it itches?

Did anyone ever have something like this?? I want it to go away soon!! Please anyone help me!

CAUSE:
The medical term for intense or severe non-inflammatory itchy palms and/or feet without any apparent cause or etiology is called "eczematoid dyshidrosis" which translates to "eczema-like tiny water blisters under the skin that itches". Not-counting things like eczema, psoriasis, or specific diagnosed skin allergies, it's been long recognized by our medical establishment that eczematoid dyshidrosis is caused by underlying emotional or psychological stress. The condition is a related symptom of the fight-or-flight response when a person is placed under a stressful situation but symptoms may not appear until a few days or even a few weeks after a stressful incident has occurred.  This type of induced molting would seem to be a genetic throwback to our evolutionary amphibian ancestors where other animals besides humans can also be forced to molt under given stress.

TREATMENT:
Severe itching of the palms and/or feet can be so uncomfortable to the point of disrupting a night's sleep. Aside from ingesting our pharmaceutical medications which contains poisons that can produce adverse, negative toxic side affects, one form of nursing treatment to gain fairly immediate temporary relief is to place hands or feet in cold water but this may or may not provide enough relief to gain a good night's sleep, however, placing hands in hot water or under running hot water for one or two minutes or less can and will produce suficient relief for the duration of the rest of the night. If cold water is used this will of course in effect help to numb nerve endings to reduce itching but may not be as effective as hot water.  When using hot water the trick is to make the temperature as hot AS BEARABLY POSSIBLE which may at first seem counterintuitive because the hot water will greatly increase the itching sensation while the hands are still in hot water or under running hot water but then afterwards sufficient relief will surely occur.  The hotter the water, the greater and longer lasting the relief will be afterwards and normally just one treatment will suffice for the night.

I have the same symptoms and have made an appointment. I have never had anything like this, ever!   (age: 49)

I too have small flat white spots that itch and soon after succumbing to it's attention, I create blisters. After a few days they turn into tiny raised neutral-color bumps. They are annoying and at times the itching is unbearable. I have scratched so much I have torn my skin.

I thought it was internal as well because I do not recall being bit or scratched or cut. But they travel up into the middle of my palm, along the creases of my palm. I agree ... very annoying!

I just went to the doctor and she said it's a blocked sweat gland =/ to just put a cold compress on it and it should resolve on it's own

everyones palms has white spots. mine do. it's normal.

have you tried lotion? if it is not getting better you may have an allergy to something your hands are coming into contact with and need a skin patch test.
