Lumps inside vaginal area

I had a bikini wax about a month ago and afterwards my vaginal skin became dry and peely asif it had been riped off and was healing again. A couple days after it had healed up completely I noticed small skin coloured lumps on the surface of my skin, which arnt painful and dont have pus or any substances inside. I left them hoping they would go away in time and now have noticed larger groups of the same lumps on the inside of my vaginal area. I have also been feeling achy and went to the doctors where they told me I had a fever and toke a throat swob apparently backing this up, however on closer inspection at home I have noticed similar lumps on the back of my throat to the ones on my vaginal area and worry that it may be an STD such as gential warts etc. However, I have not been sexually active for quite some time and the lumps appeared after 4 months of selabacy but continued to be there after I had sex. I have been to the doctors and had a smear test and swabs taken but apparently wont hear for another 2 weeks, its really starting to worry me so if anyoe can help it would be great to hear any suggestions.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like the bumps started as folliculitis or infected hair follicles and nor the infection has become systemic in nature. In folliculitis, the bumps are mostly infected with staph infection.

I would suggest you to get a throat swab culture and culture of the discharge from the bumps and get it evaluated from a physician/dermatologist.A course of antibiotics(oral as well as topical) may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.

I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have additional queries. Kind regards.

I saw a medical show recently that had a woman who lost her legs and fingers after getting an infection from a bikini wax.  Since you have already been to the doctor you are probably in good hands.  I think on the show they said she got a staph infection from the bikini wax and she wound up in the hospital where they couldn't figure out what it was from for a long time.  This, I gather, was a rare thing.  I hope your doctor can figure it out.  Good luck!
