Pubic Area Rash/Bumps?

I have red, flat spots (bumps) in my pubic area. A few on my lower stomach. They are red/pink. There is not much other way to describe them. There are quite a few... they are flat, non-itchy, non-painful. Many things I read on here people could pop spots like this, but mine there is nothing there. They are flat and almost seem like a razor knick would, nothing inside, nothing to pop. There are none on my penis shaft, scrotum etc... Just in my pubic hair area and the few on my lower stomach. They have been there now for about 6 weeks. One day I noticed a couple little spots, then the next day there were more, but since then nothing has changed at all.

I have had only one partner for 15 years. Nothing with anyone else. I have read some places that things can be passed by towels. I get massages a lot and assume the shorts they give, and towels they provide, have been washed but I don't know. Of course I am worried because it seems like a hard thing to explain to my partner.

Have tried to wait to see if it would just go away but it hasn't. I do not shave that area, except this passed week so I could get a better look at these spots (were hardly visible while I have pubic hair).

Please if anyone has any advice, or things to try, let me know.

Thanks so much!

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

From the symptoms that you have described this rash can be due to contact dermatitis or irritated hair follicles after shaving. Since you had the same partner for 15 years, it is less likely to be any STD.

Apply calamine lotion, wear cotton clothes and use mild soaps like Dove. If the symptoms persist you can add 1% hydrocortisone to the regimen. Also keep a tab on any change in soaps, detergents etc during this period. Also check out the texture of clothes of the underwear and use cotton underwear. Carry your own towels when going in for massage next time.

Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon.

Wishing you good health.

Sorry. Just another bit of information that may or may not be useful. About a day or two before this started, by testicles got very very dry and bumpy/bubbly feeling. It eventually got so dry that the skin was flaking off. After a couple days this healed itself. That also was not itchy or painful....
