My daughter was born blemish free. She is 10 weeks old now. When she was about 2 weeks old, a slight little red dot appeared on her right cheek and has stayed on ever since (picture attached). I have observed that it has grown slightly in size ever since and has matured from being baby pink in color to a shade of deep maroon. She had baby acne and some rashes in the first 2-3 weeks, but we applied 'Atonide' gel on doctor's advice and they vanished almost immediately. She has not had any rashes ever since and her face and body are free of any rashes or blemishes otherwise.
The doctor suspects this may be because of broken capillaries and has asked us to wait for a couple of months to see how this shapes up. I was reading on the Internet about broken capillaries and have scared myself immensely looking at some pictures where the baby's face was covered in a red patch.
Could a practitioner please have a look at this and let me know how bad could this be? Many thanks!
