Open Wound/Boil for a year?

I used to be really prone to boils on my inner thighs. Well, they've gone away and I haven't had them for a few years now.

However, there is one tiny bump (the size of maybe the tip of a pinky finger) right in the crease of my leg where my vagina is. Sometimes it "pops" open and leaks blood (which smells odd and fowl) all over my underwear. Then it stops leaking, but it never closes, and eventually the little bump comes back in the same spot and it happens all over again. Even if it seems "healed" and there is no lump, I could squeeze it and a little blood would come out.

How on earth do I get this to close? I'm assuming because of the location and my underwear edge constantly rubbing against it, it can't heal. Its right in the crease so using a bandaid or gauze won't work in that area. And quite frankly I'm too embarrassed to ask a Dr. about it.

If anyone has had the same trouble and can recommend how to get this to close up for good, I'd be really grateful. Its very annoying and embarrassing, not to mention it ruins all my underwear since it bursts at random times!

Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of sebaceous cysts. It is filled with a soft, whitish brown material that sometimes oozes out onto the skin's surface. This material is called sebum. Treatment includes small surgical opening into the skin and removing the sac (excision biopsy). But recurrence is quite common. I suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist after examination.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
