my dad got rash all over his body

I need to know about what happened with my dad.I am from Thailand come to CA for visit my family and my dad,76 years old is in Thailand.Two days ago I called and ask about how about him...he told me that he got rash on his legs,hands and all over his body except his face....and today I called him again ...he took some medication about allergic but he still got the rash ...same not less than the first day he got. I don't know what happened ...can you tell me what he has to do (he is stubborn...doesn't want to see doctor).

Hello,
Due to the suddenness of symptoms, it can be a viral rash or an allergic reaction.  I suggest you to ask him to consult a  doctor Immediately. He needs antihistaminics like Benadryl and topial and oral steroids for this which are available under prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
