Penile eczema? or another problem?

About November last year, I had sex with a Japanese female at my college, and when she was giving me oral sex, she bit me with her teeth, and ever since then, my penis has never been the same. I've been having trouble getting and maintaining erections, I've been having itching on the skin below the head of my penis, and I noticed that my penis size has decreased ever since that night. When it first happened, I noticed there were teeth marks near the head of my penis, but those eventually went away. I went to the hospital a few months later, and the woman there tested me for HIV. (The tests came back negative). She told me it appeared as if I had fungus inside my penis, from the bite marks, so she also prescribed me Nystatin for the itching, but that didn't work, so a few months later, I went to a dermatologist. He prescribed me some cloderm, and when I thought that it removed the itch, it came back! Not only that, but I noticed that my penis was sensitive to friction, and things such as sex or masturbation would sometimes be unpleasant or painful. I went back to my dermatologist and explained the situation. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the skin of my penis, and that the skin looked healthy, despite the fact that I still had itching. He then gave me some cutivate for the itching, and he told me what could be bothering me is that I may have eczema or skin irritation on my penis, but even now, a month after using the cutivate, my penis still itches! I don't have AIDS or HIV, and my dermatologist told me it doesn't look like a yeast infection. Do you know what could be wrong with my penis, and/or what kind of treatment should I use now? Also, would you recommend for me to see a urologist about this problem?

The doctor is most likely right that you have some mind of self fulfilling paranoia. The chance of catching an STD through oral sex, from an average girl in university is extremely low. Especially whereas she bit your penis. I have had condoms break with women I do not know at all (with 5 women), unprotected sex with at least 10, and I've never gotten an STD. I get tested regularly.
However, I began getting dry red spots all over the tip of my penis, I was scared as hell  it is Herpes. The Nurse Practitioner assured me it is definitely NOT herpes. After a long list of Anti Fungal and Antibacterial creams nothing worked. Finally she got the idea that it could be Exczema, after a few days of Triamcinolone it went away.

Could it be caused by sensitivity to laundry detergent or something else that is causing it? I will get big red spots on the tip of my penis, if you looked you would assume. "Herpes" It's very embarrassing. Is there any way to treat it aside from Triamcinolone?

It began while I was 26, only on my penis, after engaging in frequent anal sex with my girlfriend (non protected). If it arises a woman would see or feel it and assume it is an STD.

Hey Dr. Kaur,

Today, I finally went to the urologist to discuss all the problems I've been having lately. He did a urine test, a rectal exam, and examined my crotch, and I had him check me for all of the conditions we thought I could have had (ex. STDS, urethritis, prostatis, peyronie's disease, balanoposthitis); and he told me that everything looked normal. (Although he did tell me to take Vitamin E for the curvature in my penis) The urine looked normal, my crotch looked normal, my prostate felt normal, etc. No STDS or HIV. He personally feels that all the problems I'm having are just emotional problems, and he word-for-word said that "maybe all of this is just apart of your head." The only thing he did say, that could have been the problem, was that when I was having the itching, I may have had a fungal infection at the time, and that is why the Monistat cured the itching. He believed it was either a fungal infection or jock itch. He said if the itching ever came back, he told me to use Gold Bond powder and put it on after a shower. Of course, I didn't like to hear that from him, as I told him it's not normal for me to feel discomfort in my penis, but knowing that there's nothing more anyone can do, I'll just cope to deal with this on my own, and forget about it. I wanted to write to you, to thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem. I really appreciate all of your help and support. Thanks again!

Hello,
From the recent symptoms that you have added a complete STD panel needs to be done to rule out any syphilis and gonorrhea and other possibilities like urethritis and peyronie’s disease/ phimosis need to be ruled out. Urethritis is an inflammation of the urethra. It can be due to STD’S like Chlamydia or gonorrhea, chemical irritation caused by soaps, lotions etc, masturbation and bacterial infections of the urethra.

In urethritis the diagnosis can be made only by the proper collections of urine specimens from both the urethra and the bladder. These specimens will reveal the presence of white blood cells in the urethral washings, while the midstream (bladder) specimen will be free of cells. Also other tests that need to be done are swab samples and blood tests.

I would suggest a urologist’s consultation and the above investigations to be done to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. Treatment can be started only when the diagnosis is confirmed. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Sorry, I forgot to add frequent urination to the symptoms. I'm not sure if that helps or not, but I had to include that.

I wanted to give you a update.

I used Monistat, the product that women would use for yeast/fungal infections, and they got rid of most of the penile itch, but problems still remain with my groin area. After the penile itch went away, my testicles began itching after using Monistat, and after using Magic Shave cream (a hair removal cream), my testicles became really irritated and the itching became worse. Another problem is that during the penile itching, I also had small bumps and itching in my anus, which still exists to this day. I went to the dermatologist about all of these problems, and he said he didn't know what was wrong. He word for word, said everything seems to look fine, but since problems still exist, I know something is definitely not right. He wouldn't even do the skin biopsy that you recommended, and he gave me a hard time. He told me to put cortaid on my groin and my butt, but I need a cure, and not a temporary fix. My testicles, my groin area, and the head of my penis are all red, and I haven't done anything to them. My penis still is having problems gaining and maintaining erections, and the size is not normal. I was at least 5.2 inches erect before any of this happened, and now I'm only 4 inches erect after the damage. It took a product called Chainsaw by Vigor Labs to give me a erection, and when I do get erected, it feels like something on the inside of my penis like skin or another object is being pulled back, preventing me from getting my normal size. Plus, the area around the head of my penis (the skin underneath it) is still itchy, and feels like a cut is there. I plan to go to the urologist (since the dermatologist didn't help) and discuss my problems with him. I was gonna request for him to do a skin biopsy also, since some urologists do those as well. It seems to me that you and my urologist are my only hope right now. I have a few questions though. Could it be possible for me to have jock itch? and based off the symptoms I've listed, could there be any other conditions than balanoposthitis and prostatitis that exist? And are there any cures or creams you could recommend for me to handle these problems, in case the urologist doesn't have a solution? I apologize for all of this...I know this is a huge problem, but I'm only trying to find a way to end all of my pain and find a cure. Please contact me whenever you get the chance and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello,
I agree with your dermatologist that it does not look like a fungal infection. However diagnosis can be confirmed by KOH examination of the skin scrapings and a skin biopsy done. If it is a fungal infection, then you may need topical and oral antifungals. From the symptoms the possibility of balanoposthitis and any prostatitis (although less likely) also need to be ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
