Persisting red bumps on and around burn scars

A few months ago I sustained moderate to severe oil burns my job. I happen to work fast food and quite literally dropped a fry basket into a fryer accidentally, causing 360 degree oil to splash up and splatter on my arm ranging from wrist to elbow. They've since healed and left splotchy white scar tissue, which is still a bit sensitive to heat and occasionally itches, but nothing too bad. However, in the past few days itchy, red bumps have been appearing directly on the scar tissue and around it, exclusively on the arm I burned. They range anywhere from the size of small goosebumps to bigger than peanut M&M's, and look similar to mosquito bites. Many other people who report this issue see them come and go in a few hours, however I've had mine for a few days to nearly a week and more keep on showing up. They've not spread to any other area of my body, and do not ooze or contain puss. It's gotten rather unsightly to look at I'm not sure what to do about it.
