Possible yeast problems

Since I have been diagnosed with oral thrush and am having a difficult time getting rid of it. I have been doing some research about yeast over growths which can cause skin irritations, I have had this yeast "thrush now over a month maybe 5 weeks. Since then I have noticed that my body has been getting alot of inflammation in my joints and my normal in control eczyma is now inflamed and stinging. I also notice that the out fold of my nostrils is now sore and inflamed as is the front inside of my nose in both nostrils. Also now the v folds of my groin is sore and inflammed as is the base of my penis. Very dry skin on scrotum. Only thing that seems to help ( not steroid creams from doc by the
way) is motrin or anti inflammatory, but it is only temporary.  I wish the darn docs would stop fluffing these symptoms off as nothing. I never had these symptoms before the thrush. Although I am not in severe pain enough of the constant burning and tingling gets REAL annoying after awhile.  I have been to different docs ( primary and dermatology) and litterally have to beg for certain tests. I am no doc so I do not know what to ask for. But something in me is causing all this inflammation. If its the yeast I want to know. If its not I want to know what it is. I would appreciate any thoughts from anybody that has experienced this or something akin.  Thanks Jeff

Hi thanks for your response and questions. First: I have always had eczyma on my face since I was young but has been remarkably under control. Once in awhile it would flare up but quickly go away.  I have been to several specialists and taken pretty in depth blood and urine work that all point negative except for very low testosterone 165. My primary doc thinks all my test scores are normal but some scores like inflammation and blood sugar are at the outer limits and should be better. my body lately seems highly acidic ( urine PH 5) though my Uro doc thinks its ok. I am waiting for a urine culture for yeast to come back. My blood candida test was negative. I just went to my skin doctor (though I chose to see another one for a different opinion) He was unconcerned with my mouth problems and seems to think its just my excyma flaring up and so he gave me another cream. I asked him to culture my mouth for yeast. I will be waiting a few weeks for this. But he looked at my mouth as did my dentist and both felt it was not thrush or yeast as I have been led to believe. Yet this sores or patches coming out of my mouth may be no concern to them but they sting the **** out of me and now I have the rashes in my crotch folds and scrotum that sting. Not to mention these little white spots on my lips that seem to sting.  This all started about a week to 10 days ago. I have never experienced these things before and of course I am concerned. I probably should of insisted on a coulture or biopsy of my mouth and crotch. I also feel tremendous inflammation in my body in way of jt aches and pains. This skin problem is also I bet another example of inflammation popping out. Is this possible or am I getting over the top? Please let me know what else I can do to be proactive because not only is this bothering me big time physically its bothering me mentally and no I am not a mental case. I am worried this may be a viral or fungal problem systemically and no doc wants to think outside the box and try to figure out what it may be. So if you can tell me what tests I should ask for and maybe another type of  specialist that would be great. Thanks Jeff

Hi,

Have you had such events earlier?

Are you aware of any other medical condition that you may have?

Have you taken any medication for a long period of time?

From what you say, it appears that there is widespread fungal/yeast infections in your skin. This there fore needs a proper evaluation because usual skin infections occur over small areas and not as extensively. This probably points to a immune disorder.

You should contact your doctor or seek a second opinion in this case to understand the cause of this extensive lesions

Keep us posted on your health and let us know if you have any other questions.

Regards.
