Rash Between Bum Cheeks

Hello, for several months I had this rash between my bum cheeks. Anyway, a week or so ago, I finally started treating it with clotrimazole and while it's slowly starting to get better there is still some redness and I'm wondering how long I should wait before finally booking a doctors appointment.

P.S. When it comes to the rash itself, it's red, smooth (no flaking skin, no cracks, etc.), and at its worst, looks like a straight burn running from the start of my butt crease to just an inch or so above my anus. Also, and I don't know if this is a good sign or not, but, after I started treatment with the clotrimazole, it would completely clear up and only re- appear (a little bit slower each day) after I kept my butt cheeks spread apart for a couple of seconds and lightly stretched the skin where it would normally be found.
