Rash Lower Abdomen Area

Hi, I have recently developed a rash in the lower abdomen area. It's itchy at times. On the good days it is less red and is not that noticeable and itchy but on bad days it gets red and itchy. It seems to be isolated in 1-1.5 inch diameter rashes. It is not painful.
My dad has the same problem (has had it for the past couple of years) and I am afraid I might have caught it from him, if it's an infection. Also, I have recently started working with Candida Albicans, a pathogenic fungus approximately at the same time the rash developed.
Any idea what this might be and how to treat it?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This rash can be due to contact dermatitis, eczema , psoriasis or fungal infection causing tinea corporis. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, certain foods, plants, metals, cosmetics, dust mites etc.

The other possibility is or a chronic fungal infection or psoriasis. To confirm the diagnosis, you need to get it examined from a dermatologist and get a KOH examination and maybe a skin biopsy done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
