Hello,
It can be a boil or an infected lymph node. Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Your sore throat can be responsible for this.
Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Hello,
Sorry replied to the earlier question. From your symptoms it can be nummular dermatitis, contact dermatitis, sweat dermatitis or fungal infections. Take some oral antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin(causes less drowsiness as compared to Benadryl) and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also apply some like steroid cream and take some oral steroids if the symptoms persist. Please consult a dermatologist in that case and get the rash evaluated for any fungal infection.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
