Skin Growth on Finger

My husband has a growth on his finger, obviously. It started off as a blood blister when he smashed his finger while at work. He kept messing with it and it turned into what we think might be a wart, but wart treatments aren't working, and it's very large and painful to the touch. I'm sure it's soemthing he's done to. A friend of mine suggested it might a wart grown over an infection that ke caused from messing with the blood blister. Any in site would be greatly appreciated. Maybe he will finally listen to me enough to go see a doctor about it. Thank you in advance.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If it is like a blister then it can be pyogenic granuloma. It is a common, benign growth that often appears as a rapidly growing, bleeding bump on the skin or inside the mouth. Its exact cause is unknown but it is more commonly found in women especially head, neck, extremities, and upper trunk. Different treatments like sclerotherapy, chemical cauterization, cryotherapy and laser excision have been found to be useful.

Other possibilities are angioendothelioma, hemangioendothelioma or hemangioma.
I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get it examined. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

A 'pyogenic granuloma'. Do consult a surgeon to get it removed or a dermatologist for cryo. Do consult your doc.
