I had Chloasma from taking the birth control pill. The most effective over-the-counter product I found was Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector. It is effective for hyperpigmentation, discoloration and post-acne marks. It is non-irritating and suitable for all ethnicities.
Eloise.
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it might be due to chloasma of pregnancy. It is a tan or dark facial skin discoloration. Although it can affect anyone, melasma is particularly common in women, especially pregnant women and those who are taking oral or patch contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
The treatment includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.
I would recommend a consultation of a dermatologist/cosmetologist for an evaluation.Other possibilities include acanthosis nigricans, seborrheic keratosis, syringoma, solar lentigo or tinea versicolor.
Diagnosis can only be confirmed after examination feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these possibilities with him.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
